Principle of the Test<\/span><\/p>\n

The assay is based on rapid chromatographic immunoassay technology. The strip contains:<\/span><\/p>\n

Test Procedure<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Bring specimen and test components to room temperature.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Open the pouch and place the device on a flat surface.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Add 1 drop of specimen (10\u00b5l) into the sample well.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Add 2 drops of buffer (80\u00b5l).<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Read the result at 15 minutes. Do not interpret after 20 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Interpretation of Results<\/span><\/p>\n

    IgM Positive: Line at T1 + line at C \u2192 recent infection.<\/span><\/p>\n

    IgG Positive: Line at T2 + line at C \u2192 past or chronic infection.<\/span><\/p>\n

    IgG & IgM Positive: Lines at T1 and T2 + line at C \u2192 current or recurrent infection.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Negative: Line at C only.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Invalid: No line at C.<\/span><\/p>\n

    IgM: Sensitivity 90.24%, Specificity 100%.<\/span><\/p>\n
